This is another of Roy Hinds beautiful knives. It has a drop-point blade of ATS stainless with stag handles and 416 stainless steel bolsters.
The engraving on this knife is American Scroll with the background removed and stippled. A project such as this requires approximately 20 hours to complete.
Bulldog Folder
This is a Hinds Brothers custom bulldog folder with jigged bone handles and nickel silver bolsters. The knife has a D2 stainless blade and features file work on the backspring.
The hand engraving of the bolsters feature a partially concealed scroll spines with very detailed fine line shading. This type of design is very dimensional when the background is relieved as shown. A project such as this will require approximately 40 hours to complete.
Custom Folder
All of the knives shown are built by Hinds Brothers Custom Knives. THe Hinds brothers build beautiful knives by hand, one knife at a time. This lock-back folder has wooly mammoth ivory scales and nickel silver bosters. The blade is D2 stainless steel.
The hand engraving on this knife features an interlocking scroll pattern with deep background relief. A knife like this requires approximately 25 hours to complete.
Texas Ranger Bowie
This custom Bowie knife was created by Roy Hinds. I engraved the stainless steel blade prior to the final grinding and before the blade was hardened. The knife is available at Roy's website Hinds Custom Knives and is priced a $750.00 which includes the hand-made custom sheath.
This was my first blade engraving and though the blade was given to me in un-hardened condition, it was still quite difficult to cut.
I think its one of the best looking Texas Bowie knives I have ever seen.
